Grand Pacific Hotel Wedding | Olmsted Falls, Ohio

Kristy and Dave’s love story began at work in Ohio, although it was an a hour apart. Even with Dave living in the country and Kristy living in Lakewood, they made the commute work for 4 years. Dave proposed to Kristy on a family trip in Sodus Point,NY. While on the trip, Kristy was skipping some rocks on the water and Dave got on down on one knee. Kristy turned around and was so shocked she accidentally pushed him over!

Everything about their wedding was uniquely them! Dave and Kristy selected Grand Pacific Wedding Gardens in Olmsted Falls to hold their outdoor ceremony with the reception following at the Grand Pacific Hotel. The ceremony site over looks a stream with two charming cottages for the bride and groom to await their guests. Built in the 1830’s, the Grand Pacific Hotel is the one of the oldest historic structures in Olmsted Township. The hotel was perfect from their intimate wedding.

Every wedding detail was personalized. Kristy had her creative hand designing wedding invitations. She even created the logo with their faces on the invite and the match box covers. Wedding florals by were both playful and elegant ( Helen from A New Leaf Florist knocked it out of the park!) A backdrop of colorful ribbon and pompoms blew in the breeze behind Dave and Kristy at the ceremony. Handmade name cards with ninjas and cars greeted the guests at the reception. The wedding day was uniquely them!

It has been an unusual year for wedding planning( to say the least!) Brides and grooms equally stressed over details, Stephanie and David just rolled with it. Moving forward with so much excitement to get married!

Stephanie met David while attending Brecksville High School. Eleven years later, Stephanie could not wait to marry her best friend. The smiles did not leave their faces all day.

Blue Heron in Medina is a beautiful venue for hosting a summer wedding! Having both an outdoor area for a ceremony and indoor space for the reception, Blue Heron was perfect fit for Stephanie and David’s day. With a bit of rain in the forecast, fingers were crossed for some sunshine for their ceremony. Luck on their side! The sun peaked out long enough for the bride and groom to have a first look, take a few outdoor portraits and have their ceremony to go off with out a hitch!

Stephanie had chalk board signs made for each bridesmaid. The words written on the boards are how she met each person.

Cleveland Wedding | Lindsey + Stephen

I was excited to photograph Lindsey and Stephen’s wedding story. They are the cutest match! They have a shared love for the Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes and their two fur babies, Buckeye and Brutus.

Lindsey arrived with her bridesmaids at her parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church in Parma. She shared moments with her dad before the ceremony while Stephen spend time with his groomsmen. They had a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony, with family and friends all smiles. Afterwards, we headed to the Cleveland Museum of Art and Cleveland Botanical Gardens for wedding portraits and time with the bridal party. The wedding reception that evening was held at Saint Clarence Pavilion in North Olmsted, complete with a sparkler exit at the end of the night.

Ballroom at Park Lane Wedding | Cleveland, Ohio

Blue skies were in the forecast for Christine and Brad’s spectacular day. I was so excited for the opportunity to photograph their wedding. Christine got ready for her day at the same location as their reception later that evening, The Ballroom at Park Lane. Built in 1923 as a luxury hotel and speakeasy, Park Lane now serves as a unique venue for wedding and events in Cleveland. The venue also has a large bridal suite and a lovely outdoor courtyard for portraits so it was perfect location to start the day.

Brad began his day with going over the vows for the ceremony at St. Paschal’s Baylon Catholic Church. With a wall of windows, the ceremony had beautiful light!

Christine and Brad love Cleveland. We took the bridal party downtown after the ceremony for some portrait fun at the Rock Hall. And photos by Lake Erie always says “This is the Land”.

Cleveland Museum of Art lagoon served as a perfect backdrop for some drop-dead gorgeous wedding portraits.

The custom designed wedding cake from A Cookie and A Cupcake was a stunner.

Amy + Taryn | Mapleside Farm Wedding Brunswick, Ohio

Amy and Taryn selected a wedding venue with the most fantastic countryside view in Ohio. Mapleside Farm is a small apple farm located just south of Cleveland. With a picturesque views of the orchards in the valley below, the ceremony took place on the sunny hilltop next to the barn.

The Barn at Mapleside was designed with wedding receptions in mind so it had wonderful rustic charm, but a great seating for dinner and dancing. With such a lovely view outside of the barn, we stepped away from the reception for a few moments to get a sunset portrait of the bride and groom.

Kyle + Nick | Bay Arts Wedding, Bay Village, Ohio

When I met with Kyle and Nick at their wedding consultation, I knew their casual and fun wedding with a bit of vintage style at BayArts would be a blast to photograph. BayArts was founded in Bay Village in 1948 by local crafters as an art community. The 124-year-old Fuller House on the property serves as the reception site for weddings with the front yard as the location for Kyle and Nick’s outdoor ceremony.

The reception got a little crazy when the Ghostbusters and T-Rex came to party!

Judith + Aaron | Lake Forest Country Club Wedding, Hudson Ohio

As I edit the beautiful photographs from Judith and Aaron’s wedding for their custom album, I realized that I hadn’t shared this gorgeous outdoor wedding on my blog. Lake Forest Country Club in Hudson is a unique wedding venue with a beautiful Tudor-style club house for the bride and groom to get ready with wooded landscaped grounds for a first look.

With a light breeze, the weather was beautiful for their lake side ceremony at Lake Forest Country Club.

Plantscaping did elegant centerpeices with florals in corals and pinks for the tables for the indoor reception. Koko bakery created a really tasty wedding cake! Christmas Wedding in Cleveland | Dani & Mark

The twinkle lights. The Christmas snow. Dani had to marry Mark in December. After all, it is her FAVORITE month! Dani began her day getting ready for their ceremony at her mom and dad’s home before heading over to St. John Bosco in Parma Heights. Mom even decorated the house in red and silver, Mark and Dani’s wedding colors.

We headed downtown to Cleveland’s Old Courthouse and Public Square to do some post wedding ceremony portraits.

The Old Courthouse is Cleveland’s premier historical landmark for wedding photographs. It’s stunning architecture and sweeping staircases are perfect for portraits. The elegant red and white roses were gorgeous bouquets for the bride and the bridesmaids for a winter wedding.

The bride and the ladies wanted to do a riff on the movie poster from Bridesmaids.

As we were finishing up downtown, the holiday lights seemed to turn on just in time for Mark and Dani.

The reception at Carrie Cerino’s in North Royalton was very classic and beautifully lit for an evening of fun and dancing.

Kelsey + Robert | Farm Wedding Newbury, Ohio

I was very excited when Kelsey and Robert contacted me about their farm wedding. Spending the day documenting their wedding at the family’s horse property was a photographer’s dream. Grassy fields, split-rail wood fences, a century farm house, golden hour sunlit portraits- what is not to love?

Stunning event and floral design transformed the horse arena to a gorgeous reception venue.

Placed on every table for guests, Burton maple syrup from Geauga county was the perfect wedding favor. Instead of rushing through the formality, the bride and the groom took time to really enjoy the cake cutting!

The horse arena had custom flooring laid down to make it perfect for first dances and partying into the evening reception.

When couples decide not to do a first look, it is wonderful to do an exchange of personal letters to each other on the wedding day before the ceremony. It is a moment I love to capture as a photographer.

A ceremony of smiles and happy tears followed.

We began their portraits just outside of the church after the ceremony. Olmsted Falls has so many beautiful spots to choose from for wedding photographs.

We headed downtown just before the rain rolled in to do a short session at Cleveland Public Library.

The reception at St Elias Church in Cleveland was the perfect venue for Erin and Gary’s celebration. Lovely uplighting filled the room along details of vintage dinnerware, custom etched toasting flutes and a yummy traditional wedding cake with some non-traditional donut touches. Mmmmm…donuts!
